John and Millie have their Doctorates in Education from Western Michigan University and University of Maryland respectively. . Their writings on wellness date from the last 20 years. Their co-authoring of WIN! -Wellness Integrating Needs with its 3 spheres and 21 integrating factors has consumed their efforts during the last 7 years. They are founders of Family Life International which they directed for 24 years emphasizing integrated wellness of body, mind-spirit, and family relationships. John and Millie are Professors Emeriti of Andrews University. They are the authors of over 20 books and have held seminars in 24 countries and territories. Their 2 sons-John Nielan and Wes and their spouses have returned from being missionaries in Guam, Micronesia. They have 5 grandchildren.

Dr. Youngberg trained at Loma Linda University where he earned a doctorate in clinical preventive care, and a master’s degree in nutrition. He has served as clinical assistant professor at LLU, and Past President of LLU School of Public Health Alumni Association, is a Certified Nutrition Specialist , and is one of the founding directors for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
From 1994 to 2007 he served as a medical missionary in the Western Pacific where he was Director of the Guam SDA Clinic Wellness Center. He has lectured to medical conferences throughout Asia and the USA. His passion is the full integration of physical and emotional risk factors in the assessment and intervention of patient care. Today, he is Director of the Rancho Wellness Center and runs the Lifestyle Medicine Clinic for Rancho Family Medical Group in Temecula, California.
Using Lifestyle Medicine principles, he develops and conducts HMO and PPO based disease state management programs designed for optimal health improvement in high medical risk patients. Dr. Youngberg has 20 years of clinical experience using integrative therapies for diabetes control, depression recovery, cardiovascular disease reversal, optimizing digestive health and effective management of many chronic health conditions.
